Making a Splash with Next

The advent of warmth and sunshine naturally turns our thoughts to the beach, and what to wear.  Last year Lara had some lovely swimwear from Next, so we were eager to see what their children's swimwear range would be like this year.  We weren't disappointed.

The first suits Lara spotted were, inevitably, these Peppa Pig ones:

I loved this little floral number, I think Lara will look adorable in it, and it has such a good cut it will be ideal for either the beach or messing about in the swimming pool.

The other cute choices include a Minnie Mouse one (another favourite for Lara), and a pretty butterfly suit, which I love for its gorgeous colour and attention to detail.  This one also comes in a more understated version for girls aged 3 to 16.

We loved this quirky Union Jack design too, perfect for showing our support for the GB Olympic team this summer, and available in sizes 3 to 16 years, just perfect for my seven year old niece.

I was also pleased to see such a lovely collection of poncho towelling cover ups which are ideal for coverig up when the sun is at its hottest, or for getting dried off and changed underneath.  The fun Peppa Pig (= happy toddler!) and lovely mermaid and princess versions would suit little girls of all ages.

All of these swimsuits are well-designed and excellent quality, perfect for some serious swimming, paddling, or just building sand castles, whether you're holidaying at home or abroad.

The hardest decision is which ones to buy - and then we just have to keep our fingers crossed for some more sunshine!
