Although recent research has highlighted some concerns about lack of vitamin D in children, it is still essential to protect young skin when children are outside all day enjoying the sunshine (when we get it!)
Sudocrem Mousse is SPF50, hypoallergenic and specially formulated to protect delicate young skin. It also offers 4* UVA protection, a higher level of defence against the rays which cause the most long-term skin damage.
Being a mousse, the product is easy to apply, and it is highly water resistant. It also protects against irritation from salt, chlorine, sand and wind burn.
Unfortunately, the arrival of our suncreen mousse coincided with the disappearance of the sun and the onslaught of the rain, so we have yet to test out its sun protection qualities.
But we weren't about to let a little thing like rain and floods stop us reviewing kids sun protection! During our indoor trial, we found the product very easy to use. The mousse formulation was very easy to apply, and it both spread easily and absorbed quickly into the skin, without any of the usual sticky white residue suncream leaves.
Unfortunately, both Lara and I found it stung a little on our sensitive skin, and we didn't like the smell of the product, so for this reason we may not use it in future. But for ease of application it definitely gets top marks and would be ideal to use on squirming, wriggling children desperate to get to the beach or pool quickly!

Disclosure: I was sent the Sudocrem Sunscren Mousse to review, and asked to promote the competition alongside my review, but the opinions stated are my own. Reviewing the product in no way influences my chances of winning the competition.

Ha love the questions managed a fabby 3 out of 3. Thanks for pointing me in the direction of the competition.
ReplyDeleteNow off to pack the cases. LOL
I have a huge issue with the fact that the Sunscreen is called a product for ‘kids and babies’ but their own website says it’s not to be used on babies under six months – yet there’s absolutely no mention of this on the can. How many of us check the website before we use a product? I agree this stuff stings. :( It's brilliant in the application and stuff like that, but the product itself I wasn't a fan of and wouldn't use on my children, in the end.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't mind the holiday though ;)
