Review: Amazon Family

Amazon has recently launched a new initiative, Amazon Family.  Created to benefit parents of babies and children up to four years old, the new scheme is intended to help families save time and money with hundreds of great offers on products for babies, children and parents, as well as free delivery.

Those signing up will receive a host of benefits, including:

· £10 off when you spend £50 in the Baby Store

· FREE One-Day Delivery on millions of items with Amazon Prime

· At least £50 worth of exclusive offers every month

Offering everything from pushchairs to baby wipes, from baby carriers and car seats to toys and books, parents really will find everything they need under one virtual roof at Amazon.  Plus fantastic special offers, amazingly low prices, and offers tailormade to you and your family every month, will ensure you never spend more than you need to on all the essentials for life with under 5s.

Upon joining you will be asked to input details of your whole family, such as whether you are pregnant, how old your children are, even what pets you own, so that future special offers can be tailor made to you.  If you are a regular Amazon customer anyway this will also be taken into account.  For example, our first tailor-made offers included books and toys I had already browsed, and even £5 off a £10 spend on children's books - perfect for our library-building pair!

Membership is free for the first 3 months, and you will then be charged £49 for a whole year of Amazon Family benefits, which include:

· A further £25 off when you spend £50 in the Baby Store

· FREE One-Day Delivery on millions of items with Amazon Prime

· At least £50 worth of exclusive offers every month

The free one day delivery is a huge bonus for us, and means we can easily order essentials like nappies and wipes from Amazon now, as well as our usual books & toys.  Plus it means I know I can order everything to arrive on a day I'll be home, so no more having to negotiate with couriers around the all-important toddler social schedule!  I ordered my first items this week, and they were indeed delivered the very next day.  As usual, Amazon service cannot be faulted.

Examples of the exclusive offers available to members within the first month of launch are:

· A free Tommee Tippee nappy bin when you buy a 3-pack of cassettes

· 40% off Plum baby food

· 20% off selected Huggies nappies

· 20% off all children’s shoes

· £10 off Medela Harmony manual breast pump

· 25% off Kit for Kids mattresses

· 20% off Grace Cole toiletries

· 20% off Mam Breast Care products

You can sign up to Amazon Family here - why not give it a try?
