Review: Hotel Chocolat Christmas Range

Chichester is a lovely little city for shopping in, especially at Christmas-time, and one of my favourite shops is always Hotel Chocolat.  Not only for the yummy chocolate you are invariably offered as you step through the door, but also the great service, and the HUGE range of yummy, delicious chocolate!  You may remember my envy-inducing Easter egg photo earlier this year, and anyone who has looked at my Pinterest boards will notice more than a passing interest in the Hotel Chocolat range!

So when the opportunity arose to sample some of their Christmas chocolate range, I had no hesitation!  We were sent the rather glorious Festive Wreath to sample, and it certainly tastes as good as it looks.

Joining together in perfect harmony the signature 50% milk chocolate with cookies and caramel, the Festive Wreath makes a great alternative to dessert, and at a whopping 450g is suggested to serve 8.  I say 'suggested' because it is currently being shared between 2 (and a half in Lara's guise!) in our house!  With florentiney bits, cookie bits, and scrumptious chocolate, it is currently being shared out a little at a time of an evening, and we are definitely looking forward to it after dinner every day!

Retailing at £20, the Festive Wreath would make a superb gift for your host or hostess over christmas, or a treat for a chocolate lover under the tree.  It also comes in a Purist version for the dark chocolate lovers, and smaller 100g versions of both which would be perfect stocking fillers at just £7 and £9 respectively.

You can view the entire Hotel Chocolat Christmas range here, and what a choice there is!  Enjoy.
