A Week in Tweets
This week has been mainly about telly, food and supermarkets - interesting! Or maybe not...

Listography: Top 5 Wishes for my Children
Confession time: I am something of a listaholic. I have them everywhere, posted on the kitchen cupboard doors, on the computer, in my notepad, on the fridge, in the car. Everywhere. They are partly a bid to control things - money, shopping, housework; and partly a plan to improve things - our home, our diet, our free time, ourselves. My lists mean I don't have to keep all that 'stuff' in my head, and for that I love them.
Review: Trunki 2012 Cases
I'm sure by now you all know about the fabulous Trunki cases, which come in a variety of designs and colours.
But have you seen the fantastic new 2012 designs?

as highlighted in my previous review.
An amazing 15% OFF plus FREE GIFT!!!
Fly the Flag!
I have been amazed by the number of flag-flying British products being brought out to celebrate 2012, year of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, the Olympics, and so much more besides. The whole country seems to be getting behind the celebrations, and I'm sure we'll all be making a Union Jack purchase or two.
Here are some of the best products I've seen around.
Reasons to be Cheerful
I LOVE this meme! Thank you Mummy from the Heart for such a fab idea. It's so good to just sit back from time to time and think about why life is good, right now. I'm as guilty as anyone of believing that if I just get this/do that/buy something else, life will be great. And that completely detracts from the here and now, which is pretty great as it is.
Win a Rangemaster Cooker! - Ended
I've long been lusting after the beautiful cookers over at Rangemaster. They're the kind of thing you slope away to gaze at and stroke lovingly while your other half browses screws and drills, or whatever it is they look at in Homebase.
And then, if you're really lucky, they'll want to go to Currys to look at massive tellies or somesuch as well, so you can wander off to the gorgeous stove section again, for more door opening and coo-ing. Or is that just me...

Review: Bug in a Rug Wrap
You know that feeling you get every so often when you come across a product which you just know will make your life so much easier? It's kind of a sense of relief, mixed with excitement and jubilation all at the same time. It makes you want to punch the air and say, yes that's it! Well I had just that feeling when I opened a parcel earlier this week.
Sophisticated Chit Chat
In the last few days Lara has started teaching Sophia about the world. Just now, as I write, she's on the balcony gardening with Sophia sat just inside watching her, all wrapped up in blankets in a baby chair. Lara is showing her leaves, plants, watering cans, mud etc and carefully explaining what everything is.
Pickle Pie Birth Frame Giveaway & Offer - Ended
Or are you just looking for a special way to remember a birth, or looking for the perfect birthday gift? However old your child is, I'm sure you'd love something extra special to help remember your beautiful boy or girl's entry into the world.

The Big Beach Clean-Up 11-13 May
As we all know, litter on our beaches and in our seas is a major hazard to wildlife, and to people. Some of our best-loved marine wildlife is under threat from the waste and litter in our seas. Hundreds of species of marine wildlife accidentally eat or become tangled up in litter.
We all have a part to play in turning the tide on litter, but it can be difficult to know where to start. The Marine Conservation Society, in partnership with Marks and Spencer, has just launched a new initiative which you can take part in.

Review: Butlins - Toddler Paradise!
We had a fantastic time last week when we visited Butlins Limited for the day. Living in sunny Bognor, it is difficult to avoid the looming presence of the enormous central tented pavilion at the Eastern end of the beach, and the current building project of a third fabulous hotel. Yet until last week we had never ventured inside the gates. Truth be told, [whispers] I didn't really think it was for us, but I was to be proved very, very wrong indeed!

Parenting Prompt
The other night, whilst browsing through the huge collection of random images we seem to have somehow amassed on this computer, I had a new idea. An awful lot of them are those fun pictures people e-mail, tweet or Facebook you, ones you look at, nod, 'like', save cos they're cute or interesting, then forget all about.
Promotion: New Marks & Spencer Offers
If you're looking for something to cheer up this wet and gloomy Monday, look no further! I've just had notice of some fab new offers at Marks & Spencer,
some of them for today (23rd April) only!
Meal Planning Monday: Frugal-style
Oh dear, it's 'end of the month, end of the money' time in Attachment Towers!
I haven't done any meal planning for the past couple of weeks because we have been out and about so much, and away for a few days, just generally grabbing food here, there and everywhere. Maybe that's why the money's run out! ;o)

My Identical Twins
Not sure how two bubs, born 22 months apart, can be quite so identical.
Then we look at my baby photos...
Good, strong Italian genes here methinks!
Daddy Pig, Daddy Pig, Where Are You?
Isn't it funny how children's tastes in toys change as they get older. It constantly surprises me how what Lara is most interested in changes week by week.
Essentials for New Parents
In a spare five minutes this morning, I was reading the current issue of Gurgle magazine. As we all know, first-time parenthood is all about the stuff, or at least that's what the manufacturers and media would have us believe!

Promotion: Muddy Puddles
What a week it's been! I don't know about where you are, but here we've had sunshine, lashing rain, hail, gale force winds, drizzle and then sunshine again, sometimes all at the same time it seems. Yesterday's visit to London Zoo, courtesy of the lovely folk at Trunki, was a rather damp affair, but still great fun - review coming soon!

Read on for a review and special offer...
Big Brother is Watching
The dreaded health visitor came today for Sophia's three month check. This is one of the new Big Brother interferences which wasn't around when we had Lara. So now they not only come to see you before the baby's born, then after the midwife has signed you off a week or two after the birth, but they invade your home again at three months.
A Dream Bedroom For My Girls
I've been thinking recently about what will happen when we eventually get a new house, whether we will all carry on co-sleeping, or whether the girls will want their own beds. Either way I would love to design them a bedroom of their own with lots of fun aspects and full of girly colour. So I was thrilled when Next asked me to design a children's bedroom using their fantastic range of homewares.

Review by Misha: Whiskas Bite & Chew
OMKG!!!! (That's Kitty God to you.) Since Mummy started this blogging business she's been way too chained to that piece of machinery and hasn't given us nearly enough fuss and lap time. Not happy kitties :o(
But last week it all became worth it.
Influence
Now I've plunged into the world of blogging and am being asked about my statistics, readership etc, I have started to think about the topic of influence.

I'm not sure if Taya is guarding Lara's Easter stash here,
or planning what to tackle first, eggs or presents!

A Week in Tweets
My third week of joining in with this fab idea from Slummy Single Mummy. As I jotted down my ideas this week I noticed a bit of a domestic theme. Obviously I am a perfect mother come Domestic Goddess come yummy mummy, like yourself, but reading about my week I am beginning to think I may fall slightly short of my own expectations...

Book Review: Stamp Album by Andrei Sergeev
Politics and the perversity of Soviet life is central to Andrei Sergeev’s fascinating work Stamp Album: A Collection of People, Things, Relationships and Words. Winner of the Russian Booker Prize, it is not a novel, not a memoir, not even an autobiography, but some combination of all these and more.

Money Saving Tips for New Parents
None of us (well, apart from all those high earners given a nice Tory tax break recently) need reminding that these are harsh economic times. We are all far too aware that the pounds, or pennies, in our pockets don't go very far these days. This is especially true when you have children, a whole new can of financial worms!
Bloggers' Pledge
Just found this lovely idea over on the Em, Jay and Me blog - a 'nice blogging' pledge. I've grabbed the badge and I'm in, as a code for life as well as blogging!
