From deepest amethyst purples to shades of sea and coral, colour was big, bold and bright. My favourite eye shadow palettes were the Guerlain Attrape Coeur 502, which mixes a fairly neutral grey and sage and forest greens with that stunning pop of coral. Just beautiful!
The 501 palette contains one of the brightest purples on offer, which can be blended with lighter mauves and silvery white for day, saving the full-on burst of purple for night. Not only are the colours in these compacts stunning, but the packaging is hardly to be sniffed at. Pulling one of these beautiful compacts out of your purse evokes true old-style Hollywood glamour.
My other favourite palette is the Bare Minerals Brights Wild Thing - a fantastic name for such a stunning, in your face colour pop. To me these shades scream beaches and sand dunes, so this little quartet would be perfect for sun holidays, with endless combinations to create and blend as night falls. Just gorgeous!
By contrast, nails look set to be fairly neutral colourwise, although they will be jazzed up with wraps and transfers for a bit of bling! The new range of nail wraps from Myleene Klass are pretty spectacular. At the bottom of the page, you have the chance to win a set of leopard print nail wraps and the rather gorgeous Basil Street shade from Nails Inc. This lovely neutral is perfect for nails of all lengths and sizes.
The other things which caught my eye were a new range from The Sanctuary, including a lovely serum and mask set, which will be perfect for gift-giving (and asking!) this summer; and the gorgeous Narcisco Rodriguez For Her Pink fragrance.
An unusual combination of floral, fruity, amber and woody notes, with a musky undertone, this is a very sensual, deep fragrance. As beautiful as the fragrance itself is the exquisite thick glass bottle, which has a pale pink interior, fit to grace any dressing table worth the name.
So there you have it, my favourite items from the Beauty section of the show, all available at Debenhams.
