Tots 100 Family Photo Competition

There's a great competition going on on the Tots 100 website at the moment, to win a fantastic Panasonic bridge camera from PrinterPix.  If you are a member of Tots 100 and would like to enter the competition, you can find full details here.  This is my entry for the Babies Under 2 category.

This photo is of a very exhausted Lara at her Christening party.  After a weekend full of friends and family, many of whom she hadn't met before, she finsihed the afternoon curled up on my shoulder utterly exhausted!

I love this photo because it shows that lovely soft, pudgey baby skin, so soft and new you can almost smell it; and because it shows how babies utterly give themselves over to sleep in loving arms, so completely content and peaceful.  This is one of my favourite photos of Lara as a baby, and looking at it brings back so many happy memories.

This photo is also unusual in that I'm in it!  Before we had children, Steve and I had a camera each and would often come back form a trip away to find that we had lots of photos of the same thing, from slightly different angles; and lots of photos of the other one, but hardly any of us together.

Since having children, we have taken hundreds, thousands of photos - even surpassing the extensive kitty files!  In fact, we have broken two cameras in the process.  So now we use one camera, and its usually me behind the lens, so it's rather nice to have a photo with me that side of it!

This post is Leta's entry into the Printerpix Photo competition.
