Review: The Sneaky Snacky Squirrel Game

We have been trying out the latest game from Learning Resources, the Sneaky Snacky Squirrel Game, and it is brilliant fun!
The Sneaky Snacky Squirrel Game is designed for 2-4 players aged 3+ with the object of the game being to collect 5 differently coloured acorns to fill the holes in your squirrel's stump.  Children spin the spinner and follow the instruction given.  They pick up the matching coloured acorns with the Squirrel Squeezers and place it in the tree stump.  The first to collect all 5 acorns wins the game!

Designed to help develop colour matching, strategic thinking, hand-eye co-ordination and fine motor skills, the game is also great fun.  Lara is just 3 and she got the idea straight away, and was able to use the squeezers to pick up her acorns, the only problem we had was trying to instill the principle of turn-taking!

The box contains 1 set of Squirrel Squeezers, 20 coloured acrons, 1 game spinner and 4 stumps.  It is suitable for 2-4 players aged from c. 3-7 years, although we adults enjoyed playing it too!

Here's Lara unpacking the box and having a go with all the components, including the Squirrel Squeezers which she loves, for the first time:

  3. I like games with an animal theme, as do the children. So nice to see squirrels as part of the theme.
