Review: Boots Car First Aid Kit

Boots Pharmaceuticals has joined forces with St John Ambulance, the nation’s leading first aid charity and training provider, to create a new first aid kit.  We were given one at the Boots Summer event we attended recently, and wanted to tell you about it.

The Car First Aid Kit is compact and easy to stash in the car or your travel bag, yet contains everything necessary for any first aid needs on the go.  Perfect for travelling in the UK, it also meets the legal requirements for driving in some European countries, where a first aid kit is essential.

We have already made use of a few bits from the bag whilst out and about, and certainly enjoy the peace of mind of having it all with us 'just in case'.  It is a really great kit, with everything you could possibly need, yet still has room to pop in some of our other essentials like Rescue Remedy, Arnica etc.

The Boots Car First Aid Kit also contains a first aid guide, which provides information and advice on dealing with everything from minor injuries to more serious life threatening conditions.

The comprehensive contents of the bag are:

  • Sterile Medical Wipes x 10
  • Waterproof Plasters x 20
  • Adhesive Wound Dressing 8cm x 6cm x 2
  • Low Adherent Wound Dressing 5cm x 5cm x 2
  • Sterile Dressing 12cm x 12cm with bandage x 2
  • Sterile Dressing 18cm x 18cm with bandage x 1
  • Stretch Bandage 7.5cm x 4m x 1
  • Microporous Tape 1.25cm x 5m x 1
  • Triangular Bandage x 1
  • Eye Pad Dressing x 1
  • Eye Wash Phial 20ml x 2
  • Burn Gel Sachets 3.5ml x 2
  • Heat Retaining Foil Blanket x 1
  • Revive Aid x 1
  • Nitrile Powder-Free Gloves Large 2 Pairs
  • Tough Cut Scissors x 1
  • ‘First Aid Carried’ Sticker x 1
  • Essential First Aid Guide x 1

The Boots Car First Aid Kit retails at £18.99 and is available in store and online at
