Looking for a BIG Car

Two adults, two children and a multitude of supposedly essential belongings just about fits into a 3-door Ford Fiesta, but we are facing the fact that three car seats just isn't going to work in there!  In fact that may be four, as we are still in two minds as to whether the baby bump is a one or two man tent.  Not having scans means we will have to wait till a bit further down the line to be sure whether it's twins or not.

Either way, we are not going to be able to travel around en masse in our little red car, so I can either choose my two favourite children that day and take them out with me, or we need to start saving for a new (to us) bigger car.  The accompanying - surely inevitable! - rise in insurance costs is going to be tricky to cover, but one essential we won't be foregoing is AA breakdown cover.  I don't know about you, but to us it's one of those essentials that you don't really think about until you need it.  Thankfully that has only been twice in my six years of driving, but I wouldn't be without it, especially with small children in the car.

We have begun to have a vague look around at bigger cars, but with the intention to have at least four children our main option looks like a Compact MPV apparently, according to someone who knows a lot about cars anyway!  (Yep, I had to look it up too, as my usual car knowledge extends to what colour it is!)  With a 7 seater we would have plenty of room for car seats of every description and variety, not to mention an assortment of buggies, luggage, toys and goodness only knows what else!  Now all we need to do is start saving...
