Sleeping with Technology

We are complete Luddites when it comes to mobile phones, but do (obviously, or you wouldn't be reading this!) use the Internet and social networks.   It always amazes me though on the odd times I have logged on to Twitter or Facebook at ridiculous o'clock because I'm still working and found so many people still logged on.  Surely they can't all still be online at 1am?  And the whole Tweeting/Facebooking along whilst watching television thing pretty much entirely passes me by.  Must be old age!

Have a look at the following infographic to see just what the nation is up to between the sheets...

Ooh-er missus!  But even devoted Tweeters and Facebookers will surely be shocked by the 20% of users who apparently interrupt their most intimate moments to reply to a text!!  Now that's a status update no-one needs to know about, surely??

I really don't get the technology in the bedroom thing, hardly conducive to a good night's sleep, and don't even ask me about parking small children - even babies! - in front of apps and the like. What's wrong with a good book?! (And no, before you ask, no Kindles here!!)

Have a look, what do you think?  Sleeping with technology, good or bad?

  1. Definitely shocking! I admit to keeping the phone close at all times, but I always try to limit how often I use it for social media.
