Great relief for troubled skin from Hope's Relief!
Not only does poor Steve suffer with eczema, but during the winter he also gets a type of psoriasis on his much-washed and over-worked chefy hands and even on his face, if he doesn't cover up sufficiently in the cold weather. To top it all, with our recent repeated rounds of 'flu and chest infections, he also managed to contract hand, foot and mouth disease! A really ghastly business, and when finally seen on its way with a mix of conventional and alternative medicines, it had left his skin in a right old state. Thank goodness then for the Hope's Relief skincare products we had been sent to review.
Hope's Relief is Australia's Number 1 brand for dry skin and is suitable for all the family, so perfect for any flare ups of eczema Lara might have this winter too. The range was developed by Melbourne naturopath, Jacqueline Hope, in response to the need for a natural effective alternative for relieving the symptoms of dry, itchy skin in children, babies, and adults.
Rather than resorting to the usual batch of medical products offered for eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis, containing cortisone and steroids, Jacqueline wanted to offer her patients a safe, effective alternative which could be used in the long-term to both treat the skin conditions and offer immediate relief from itchy, inflamed, and dry skin.
To develop a product which would alleviate symptoms, help clear up any infection, and assist in healing the skin, all without causing any harm, took the best part of two years. The very first formulation was applied to her daughter, who for the first time was free from scratching, and was also finally getting to sleep without the constant itching. Jacqueline Hope knew she was onto something special.
Using a high potency of natural herbal extracts, homeopathics and Manuka honey, Jacqueline perfected the first commercial line of Hope’s Relief Cream. Now used, and praised, by happy customers worldwide, the range has expanded to include complementary products such as a Soap-Free Cleansing Bar, Body Wash, and most recently, Shampoo and Conditioner.
Made using high quality Australian botanical and herbal extracts, selected for their beneficial skincare properties, Hope's Relief supports an all natural and herbal philosophy which is strictly adhered to across the whole range. It is suitable for infants, children and adults.
The range offers unique benefits beyond those offered by many similar products on the market, which are essentially moisturisers, whereas the Hope's Relief range delivers a more comprehensive and unique 3 in 1 benefit:
1. Moisturises – penetrates deep to soften dry skin
2. Soothes – ideal for irritated skin
3. Regenerates – leaves skin soft and supple
The full range is based on soothing and healing the skin as well as moisturising and offers the user long term benefits for healthy skin. They are guaranteed to contain no 'nasties':
- No Sodium Laurel Sulphate
- No parabens
- No coal tar
- No artificial colours or fragrances
- No petrochemicals
Hope's Relief Cream is an effective natural alternative to other steroid based creams that can be safely used on babies, young children and adults for extended periods of time with no side effects. All products are created from potent natural healing ingredients, and are free from artificial colours, perfumes and animal products.
Steve has been using the Goats Milk Body Wash, Soap-Free Cleansing Bar and Intensive Dry Skin Rescue since his HFM has gone and the results have been truly amazing. We have also been using the Body Wash on the girls at bath time and their skin is so soft and smooth with it, and so far absolutely no sign of eczema from Lara at all, despite much puddle-jumping (wet legs usually = eczema a few days later). We will also be able to use the Body Wash on the new baby, which is fab.
We are all mightily impressed with the Hope's Relief range and will be continuing to stock up on it when our review samples run out. fantastic products for all the family!
