Review: Playmobil Easter Calendar

Lara was VERY excited to receive the lovely Osterkalender from Playmobil this morning, especially as it had bunnies in it that apparently looked just like Peter Rabbit!

The calendar has 10 windows to open, each with a gift inside, just like an Advent calendar.  Lara was so excited to get the scene set up that we decided to let her open it all there and then, much to her delight!

Being a typical 4 year old, Lara isn't necessarily renowned fro her concentration, but look at the determined excavation of each of these little windows!

Inside she found a daddy rabbit figure, with two junior bunnies, some scenery, a cart, little clusters of painted and unpainted Easter eggs, a paint palette and brush, and much more.  Lara loved setting the scene out just like the picture on the box, and then set to playing with the little figures and telling her own bunny stories.  Lara really understands the concept of Easter this year, so this was the perfect toy for her, with the egg painting and Easter bunny ideas etc.

The figures and accessories are the usual excellent Playmobil quality, with outstanding attention to detail and perfect for inspiring little people's imaginative adventures.  Lara and Sophia both enjoyed sitting down to play with the new toys on the table, and they have subsequently joined the rest of the Playmobil collection, as well as interacting with Lego, Sylvanian Families and everything else!  This is one of the things we love about Playmobil, that you can play with so many other toy ranges with it too.

The Playmobil Easter Calendar is such a lovely idea, and would really enhance the build-up to Easter.  It is available in good toy stores and directly from Playmobil online, priced at £9.99.  Look out too for a great range of Playmobil Easter eggs this year, guaranteed to provide entertainment long after the chocolate ones have been eaten and forgotten!

Highly recommended!
