Review: David Gandy-recommended Socks from London Sock Co. #fathersday

As many of you will know, I live very comfortably under my little seaside rock and don't really know much about the world of celebrity and popular culture, cue my recoiling in horror when offered tickets to an Ant & Dec television show this week.  Apparently this is a very good thing, and I know my younger colleagues have leapt at the opportunity!

However, I do know quality when I see/hear about it, and when I read an e-mail about a certain male model named David Gandy (who?) and his penchant for high quality socks, I wanted to know more.  Apparently this chap is something of a style king, and his recommendation is not to be sniffed at so, thought I, they must be good!

Men about town, Dave Pickard and Ryan Palmer, founded the London Sock Co. last year and it has certainly hit the ground running.  These are no ordinary socks, they are super stylish, comfortable and made from luxury Scottish Lisle Thread cotton.  The brand was launched with the intention of bringing the style of the Victorian era to the modern gentleman, and judging by these socks they have succeeded.

34-year-old model, David Gandy, is a big fan of the brand, and has backed their latest launch: a super-cute, limited edition gift set for Father’s Day called 'One for Me, One for My Dad'.  The set includes a pair of mini socks, available in either pale blue or burgundy, and a matching pair for Dad.

London Sock Co. founder, Ryan Palmer, said:

"Our aim was simply to recreate the style and elegance of the Victorian era, with a modern twist, and now we’re allowing father and son to express themselves through sophisticated, colourful accessories just as the Victorians did. It’s great to know we have such revered and stylish supporters in the fashion world."

Steve has been sent some of these fab socks to try and they're great, perfect for wearing with suits and summer trousers.  They look and feel lovely, and are apparently very comfortable too.

The Father's Day sets come in two colours and is available to buy for £21 online.  Also available on the website is a Two for Me, Two for My Dad gift set – RRP: £39

Boy’s socks are available in age 2 ½ - 3 ½ years and 4-6 years.  Dad’s socks are available in Medium (UK 7-9) and Large (UK 10-12).
