Review: Bright Starts Bounce Bounce Baby

For the past few weeks Tatiana has been trying out the Bright Starts Bounce Bounce Baby, and she loves it!  With a spinning seat, lots of toys and activities and a bounce pad (the orange bit in the picture below), she can find endless things to do and boing away to her heart's content.  For a not yet walking baby, this sense of freedom and movement is just perfect.

The Bounce Bounce Baby was easy to put together, with just a screwdriver and a little bit of space.  It took about 10-15 minutes to put together.

The main feature is the height adjustable bounce pad which has three height settings.  It is suspended by thick elastic, so when baby pushes down with their feet they bounce.  Tatiana loves this, especially if Lara or Sophia stands in front of her and bounces too.  She finds that hilarious!

The machine washable fabric seat spins a full 360 degrees for access to all the different attached toys, which include:
  • A giraffe with four moveable rings round its neck and a face that spins round:

  • An alligator with pushable buttons which make xylophone sounds:

  • A tree mirror with climbing, ratcheting lion:

And a spinning sun toy with rattling beads.  Tatiana loves all the toys and works her way round chewing, pulling, pushing and fiddling with everything.  She loves it most when she's just left to her own devices to explore, rather than having a 'helpful' sister show her what's what!  At six months of age, this activity centre gives her a real moment of independence, where she can decide what she wants to do and when and how.

Suitable from 4 months, presumably as long as baby can hold their head and spine up well, this is a great toy up until walking age.  Tatiana loves it, and gets very excited when she realises she's going in it.

The colours are bright without being garish, and it is suitable for both boys and girls.  The whole unit is very light and easily moved from room to room.  Also, at less than 70cm square, it doesn't take up much room in the home.  We currently have ours in the sitting room and it isn't obtrusive at all.

A definite 10 out of 10 from Tatiana, and no complaints from us!
