Make the Most of Bathtime with a LUSH Gift Set! #giveaway - ENDED

A recent survey by Bathrooms.com has found that over half of Brits visit the bathroom to escape their partner and children!  To be perfectly honest, I'm glad to hear I'm not alone.  Sometimes the only time I get to myself in a day is a few minutes behind that closed door.  Someone asked me recently how I still manage to read books.  Well the truth often is that it's on the loo or in the bath, so my reading pile is often located on the bathroom shelves.  Ah for a half hour's peace in the bath, bliss!

Although apparently sales of bathtubs have now plateaued, whilst shower sales have risen by 80%, so are our bathing days numbered?  Although many claim to prefer a shower (72% apparently), surely plenty of us still enjoy our long bubbly baths?  In fact 73% of people see a bath as a treat than a daily ritual, and when we do get the time, 6% enjoy relaxing with a glass of wine, and 14% are like me and grab their book for a bath-time treat.

You can read more about the research findings in the Bathrooms.com Bathtime report.  CEO Ian Monk, commented on the findings:

“Admittedly running a bath helps you to relax after a long day and unsurprisingly 73% of the nation agree! Whether you prefer to shower or bath, the bathroom has always been a room in the home that allows one to have personal space, whether that’s away from day to day stress, or for some people their other half! It is therefore not surprising that year-on-year sales of showers at Bathrooms.com are up 80% whilst bath sales are relatively flat.”

  2. Bath! On account that I pass out in the shower so I'm scared to have them now. But baths are really nice if you're not pressed for time.. they can be annoying if you're in a rush though! I do hide in the bathroom when I need some time to myself.. even if I go round someones house and need a break from them I'll disappear into their bathroom. Haha.

  3. I love baths, now i have children i appreciate them even more!!

  4. I prefer to shower for day-to-day freshness, but I couldn't live without my bath for a bit of relaxation. However, my children usually join me in the bathroom and my eldest certainly takes advantage of the fact I'm in one place for a bit of a chat. Often, my younger ones end up joining me in the tub, so I always ensure I use gentle, natural products, like Lush, so their sensitive skin is not irritated.
