Easter Gifts for Babies

It can be difficult to find an appropriate Easter gift for a baby, and of course you don't want to be giving them chocolate!  One way mark the occasion with an appropriate gift is something buuny-themed (and maybe a very special hare too!).  Here's our pick of the best Easter gifts for babies.

We love Lamaze baby toys, the ideal way to introduce babies to sensory exploration from birth, with lots of different textures, sounds and colours incorporated in each toy.  Their bright colours, appealing faces, and fun play qualities make them an ideal gift for babies.  They are suitable from birth and are available in a wide variety of characters.

Here we have the Bella the Bunny Blankie which is made from four textured panels in pink, blue and yellow, with a plush animal head at the centre.  the bunny head has different fabrics and colours, with multi-textured, bright bunny ears.

At the end of each point is a taggy piece with other ribbons added.  The whole thing has a soft, cuddly backing and makes a lovely comfort blanket for baby.  She even gently rattles when shaken!  Widely available, the Lamaze Bella the Bunny Blankie retails at £9.99.  A lovely baby gift.

From bright and modern to a classic character in pastel hues, adorable Flopsy Bunny from the ever-popular Peter Rabbit range of baby toys.  This soft, cuddly toy is the perfect size for baby's hands, and has an elasticated cord attached to a ring which can be fixed to sling, car seat or pram for on the go cuddles and entertainment.  She is suitable from birth and serves as a beautiful introduction to the delightful, whimsical world of Beatrix Potter.  Flopsy Bunny is available from John Lewis priced £9.99; a comfort blanket is also available, priced £14.99.  We adore Beatrix Potter and all the characters, so this lovely toy is a huge hit here!

A new toy range has been launched based on the Nut Brown Hare characters from ever-popular picture book Guess How Much I Love You and it is sure to be a big hit with babies and parents alike.  Tatiana has been sent the totally adorable Lullaby Hare which features Big Nutbrown Hare cuddling Little Nutbrown Hare.  At the back is a silver key which you turn to play a soothing lullaby tune, whilst Big Nutbrown Hare's head move as he rocks Little Nutbrown Hare to sleep.

Just gorgeous and so soft and snuggly.  RRP £24.99 from Amazon.  Here's Tatiana cuddling her new favourite toy:

The Guess How Much I Love You range also includes Large Nutbrown Hare Plush (RRP £12.99 ) and Little Nutbrown Hare Rattle Plush (RRP £7.99 ), both are irresistibly soft and make the ideal companions for bedtime stories and anytime cuddles.  The Little Nutbrown Hare Comfort Blanket features a plush Little Nutbrown Hare character holding a soft comfort blanket (RRP £10.99), while the Activity Spiral features a hanging Little Nutbrown Hare, star and moon to keep baby entertained whilst out and about in the pram or car seat (RRP £16.99).  The adorable Guess How Much I Love You Booties Set, pictured below, are made from super soft plush with cute embroidered features and a rattle in each toe (RRP £12.99).  All products are suitable from birth and stockists include Amazon and all good independents.  SO cute!

One of the most enduring characters for babies and toddlers is that adorable Dutch bunny, Miffy.  Celebrating her 60th birthday this year, not only have the books been re-released, but a new toy range is being launched throughout the year too.  To add to the ever-popular pastel range for babies, there are also some new primary colour toys and games, including the classic bean toys (RRP £6.99) and the very cute Miffy Stripy Chime Soft Toy (RRP: £19.99)  Here's the full Miffy range.
