SS15 Styles for Girls: Lara and Sophia's Top Picks

I'm one of those mums who doesn't really care what she wears herself, but dresses her children beautifully.  My three have some gorgeous clothes, and in the case of the older two some strong opinions on what's good and what isn't!  Lara and Sophia both have their own individual and slightly quirky sense of style, with Lara being more girly pink princess and Sophia being a bit boho.  I don't dare choose clothes for them, unless they're with me, and as we all know that can be a bit of a 'mare.  So online shopping with the three of us piled in bed or on the sofa is the perfect solution.

We have been browsing the gorgeous and eclectic styles on online retailer Melijoe and found so many beautiful styles that the girls love.  With fantastic brands including Kenzo, Tartine et Chocolat, Chloe and Catimini, one of our favourites, there is so much to choose from.  The girls were ooh-ing and aah-ing away from the minute we landed on the webpage, and I found it hard to keep up with their demands to click here, there and everywhere!

Sophia's favourites in the age 3 sizes were:

Typically Sophia, this beautifully girlie Lili Gaufrette Cotton Voile Dress in a lightweight fabric with a cotton voile lining is in a stunning crushed raspberry shade.  It has a close-fitting top and flared skirt which I know my little girlie would love to spin round in!  I love the lace trim and pearly buttons on the back, a stunning proper little girls' dress.

Sophia's second choice surprised me a little, mostly because of the dark green colour, but with its swishy skirt in frothy tulle and cute appliqued fabric flower detailing, I suppose I shouldn't have been too surprised by her choice of the Il Gufo Stretch jersey and frothy tulle dress.  Very cute.

Ever practical, the middle one's third choice is this stunning Dolce & Gabbana Signature print oilskin in blue, white and green print.  A great combination of beauty and practicality, this oilskin raincoat is just the thing for April showers and has a fab polka dot lining too.

Lara asked that I head straight to the Catimini pages as she loves the French brand's clothes; we're lucky to get her beloved Catimini skirt and dress off her!  Here are her favourite items:

Her first choice is this stunning flower and butterfly print Catimini Cotton voile sundress in fuchsia, aquamarine and deep lemon.  It has a fine cotton voile lining and invisible zip fastening at the back.  Such a beautiful pattern for summer.

But before we get to summer, Lara insists she needs both this raspberry sorbet shade Catimini cotton knit cardigan and butterfly print Catimini Rubber rainboots.  The soft cotton knit cardigan has pretty piped detailing and cute decorative buttons.  This cardigan would be perfect for layering from now on and all the way through summer.  The super-cute wellies have a lovely butterfly print and pick up on the pink-yellow-green colour palette.  Just the thing for jumping in muddy puddles!

Finally, we couldn't move away from the Melijoe site without mentioning this stunning Ikks Viscose jersey dress in a delightful pinky coral shade.  Both girls loved this dress with its pintuck detailing, lacy trim, capped sleeves and easy A-line styling.  With a fine cotton poplin lining, the dress will hang beautifully, and is the perfect dress for summer.

Melijoe has so many beautiful clothes for boys as well as girls, have a browse and tell me what you love.
