A Sneak Peek at Mothercare's AW15 Collections

You know that post about me going out, on my own, to London town?  This is where I went.

The Mothercare shows are always lovely, not least because of all the gorgeous new clothes!  Our particular favourite is the Little Bird range designed by Jools Oliver and reminiscent of growing up in the 1970s with Ladybird books, the Tufty Club, and proper school shoes.  Luckily Lara and Sophia adore this nostalgia-laden range of bright and colourful separates as much as I do, and we acquire pretty much the entire range each season.  You can see our past LB-love here and here.

One of the great things about Little Bird is that it isn't just for the girls, as many of the pieces are gender neutral, and there is a just as colourful selection for the boys too.  All you mums who complain about boys' clothes being boring, take note!  While we're on the subject of boys, just look at that gorgeous funky superhero collection up the top - who wouldn't love Dangermouse or Bananaman as a new baby gift?

The Little Bird colours and motifs for the new autumn season certainly don't disappoint, with a whimsical world of gnomes being a key feature across children's and babywear.  Lara demanded the beautiful corduroy skirt with gnome embroidery the second she saw my photo!  It's all very Gnomeo and Juliet.

Love that the prints are the same across kids and baby, sibling dressing made perfect

This stunning satchel, with extra long strap making it suitable for mummies too, is predicted to be a sell-out this autumn, and the adorable purple patent shoes with metallic strap are just divine.

Can you tell I'm all about the detail with this collection?  The attention to detail is truly superb, with gorgeous motifs, quality fabrics and adorable looks across the whole Mothercare AW15 collection.  Here are some of my favourite details:

The Baby K range designed by Myleene Klass also stood out, with a lovely woodland-inspired display, and hues of autumnal orange against black and grey.  The gorgeous orange coat and black tutu dress are top of Sophia's wishlist!

A quick peek at the new maternity range made me even more eager to get baby number 4 on the way, any excuse to wear these lovely styles, and they have a fab new jeans range too.

All clothing ranges will be in Mothercare stores and online from August.  If you can't wait till then, the adorable Tusk baby range is available now, as is this gorgeous Little Bird outfit which Lara will be modelling on our holiday as you read this.

You will also find the ELC toy range in-store and online, where this adorable new Royal Family Set is a must-have.  Lara and Sophia pounced on this as soon as I brought it home and just love it.  What better way to celebrate the birth of Princess Charlotte?
