Making a Cosy Autumn Home

Are we going to get an Indian summer then, or is this it for Autumn already?!  We've already brought out the throws, and have even thought about putting the heating on!  It's ridiculous.  But I must admit to enjoying this turning of the seasons, the packing away of lighter clothes and soft furnishings and the chance to snuggle up on the sofa covered in throws and soft, fluffy cushions.  Lush!

We are in the market for a new couch and have started looking round for one, but I am quite fussy when it comes to sofas.  I need a high back to support my neck and head, we need as much seating space as possible, because everyone just has to squash onto the same sofa, despite having other places to sit.  And we've finally got the sitting room arranged how we want it, so a new sofa needs to fit in to the footprint of the old one.  Not much of a list there then.  Colour isn't even really an issue, compared to all that!

Here are some of my current favourite designs, what do you think?

A gorgeous new sofa, a heap of cushions and a couple of new throws and we'll be all set for Autumn.

I loved some of the new season accessories I spotted at the AW15 shows back in July, with the rustic/country and animal themes not showing any sign of disappearing soon.  Here are some of our favourite picks from the stunning range at Wilko this season:
