In the stage show, we join Tom on his first ever nationwide ‘live’ tour, with dates in theatres across the UK. All Tom's CBeebies fans can follow the adventures of Tom, Twigs and friends on an action-packed adventure through the magical world of Treetopolis!
Tree Fu Tom Live! is aimed at 4 – 8 year olds, and is set in an enchanted world where movement creates magic. In the real world, Tom is a normal boy but, by putting on his magic belt and performing a special sequence of magic action-movements known as Tree Fu, he transforms into a mighty magical super-hero.
In the live show, the audience follows Tom, Twigs and friends on an action-packed adventure, following their discovery of a dusty old treasure map. Facing wild weather, mischievous Musha trouble, and other perils, will Tom once again save the day - with your help? And what will the treasure be? Come along to Tree Fu Tom Live! and find out! Be part of the Magic!
We were lucky enough to catch up with Tom and to hear all about his adventures, here's our interview with the boy himself! And read on for those all-important tour dates.
Q: Your story is about a dusty old map that you’ve found, can you tell us a bit about it?
A: Twigs found the map when he tripped over a large old rock – it was trapped underneath! It must have been hidden for a very long time because the paper was all stuck together, luckily I could use some Tree Fu magic to open it up. When Ariela, Twigs looked at it more closely we discovered it was a treasure map! Well, you know Ariela is a cowgirl who’s always ready for a rootin’ tootin’ adventure, and so it wasn’t long before we all decided to follow the map and to try to find the treasure!
Q: What are the mischievous Mushas up to?
A: Well, as ever those mischievous Mushas Puffy and Stink have been up to no good. They overheard all about our adventure and have been trying to take the map so that they can find the hidden treasure before we do and keep it all to themselves, typical Mushas! They’ve been very sneaky about it too, they tried to trick poor Squirmtum into helping them, but Twigs, Ariela and I found out what they were up to and put a stop to their meddling!
Q: How did you go about finding the hidden treasure?
Well, finding hidden treasure is never easy – we had to travel all over in Treetopolis in our search. That’s where knowing Tree Fu Magic is useful, especially when we got stuck in a pretty problematic storm! We would not have got very far if we hadn’t worked together and helped each other along the way. It was very exciting when we finally found the treasure – Twigs thought we might find a never-ending fountain of frostyberry smoothies, or a gazillion giant trillicakes! But what we found was better than all those things – it was a great surprise!
Q: Can you tell us about Tree Fu?
Tree Fu magic is a very special type of magic that me and my Treeling friends learn in Treetopolis. There are lots of different spells that come in handy whenever a friend needs some extra help. By doing special Tree Fu moves I can turn my magic powers on and that helps me to solve any problem! But sometimes, when trouble strikes, we need some extra help and that’s when I ask the boys and girls to join in. Together we can make Big World Magic by doing our Tree Fu moves together and save the day!
Q: Tell us all about Twigs?
Twigs is my very best buddy! He likes to think he’s very funny, which he is and he makes everyone laugh! We love playing Squizzle together with our friends Ariela and Squirmtim – Twigs’ favourite move is a “mega triple wing throw” but he still needs a little more practice before he can beat Ariela! He’s an Acorn Sprite, and he loves trillicakes, they’re his favourite treat. We always have fun and adventures around Treetopolis, and try really hard when practising our Tree Fu Magic!
