Whether you're in the Christmas zone yet or not, here are all the important dates you need to know. To make sure you're organised, get them marked in your diary and circled on your calendar today.
Asda opens up home delivery slots until 23rd December.
22nd November - Stir-up Sunday
The traditional day to make your Christmas pudding. Will you make your own this year? You could also make your own Christmas cake, or if that seems too much, just batch bake some mince pies to get in the zone!
27th November - Black Friday
Remember last year's mayhem? This year looks set to be even bigger in the UK with many retailers already lining up big discounts and special offers. Discounts of up to 60% will be available at big retailers like Amazon, Argos, John Lewis, Currys, and more. But you'll need to get in quick to beat the frenzied hordes - or wait it out online over the weekend.
(If you want to avoid all this capitalistic hedonism, Black Friday is also Buy Nothing Day. In the US some wags even organise shopping mall walks where zombies walk round blank-eyed, mocking their sales-blind materialistic cousins.)
28th November - Switch-on Saturday
The big cities may have already done theirs, but most smaller towns and villages will be having their switch on today. Look out for local event listings or search online for details.
29th November - Sofa Sunday
Many retailers will be releasing deals online all weekend from Black Friday to Cyber Monday, so the aptly named Sofa Sunday will see many of us slumped over laptops, tablets and phones on the sofa, made for TV Christmas movies murmuring in the background. Apparently it is the biggest online shopping day of the year, with the most purchases being made 9-11pm. Will you be one of the spenders? Get your loungewear ready now!
30th November - Cyber Monday
Having heard the tills ringing on Friday, the major retailers will be upping the ante further online today, with many amazing deals going live from 00.01am. Many sites also release new deals every hour, so sign up to your favourites now, or keep a keen eye on them during the day. The only problem is many of us have to work, so if you can get online during working hours you'll be at an advantage. Just make sure with all the super sale frenzy that these are things you actually want/need, it's all too easy to get carried away.
Most Royal Mail Delivery Offices will be offering longer opening hours, including Sundays, from today. Check your 'Something for you' missed delivery card for details of local hours.
Sainsbury's and Tesco Online open up home delivery slots for 22-24 December this week, book as fast as you can! A trick we like is to put one expensive item, e.g. a bottle of excellent Champagne, in your basket and then check out. You can the amend your trolley contents right up to the night before delivery.

5th December - Small Business Saturday
Capitalism with conscience, why not support your local high street on Small Business Saturday when lots of local shops, and some smaller personal online retailers, will be offering discounts and special offers. You may even be offered a complimentary mince pie or glass of mulled wine...
The Christmas TV guides are (probably) out today too, so snap one up when you're shopping locally.
