Christmas Gift Guide: For Cooks (Part Two)

Here's the second part of our gift guide for cooks, the pick of what's best for those who love to cook. You now, those who are happy when their significant other buys them something new for the kitchen.  (And in case you missed part one, it's here.)

At Home with Ashley Thomas cake tin, Debenhams

We love this fab light up glass kettle from Aldi's Special Buys range, very space age!
They have a wide range of funky, stylish and practical kitchen products so have a quick nip in store to snap up some bargains that will go down very well on Christmas Day.

Vintage-style Mason Cash mixing bowl, Lakeland

I may have let out a little gasp when I opened this parcel - I told you us cooks are delighted with the things other mere mortals would be horrified to receive on Christmas Day!  Stellar Ovenware is the creme de la creme, hard anodised professional, heavy gauge cookware that is a joy to coo over cook with.  It is abrasion resistant and you can even use metal utensils on it, without the surface ever peeling or flaking off, unlike non-stick bakeware, and will never rust.  Offering efficient and even heat distribution for superior cooking and baking results, it can be used in ovens up to 240⁰C, and can also be used under the grill and even on the hob.  We love the 5cm deep roasting tray with integral handle, and the 9" fluted flan tin with loose base.  Highly recommended!

Wilton color right icing kit, Lakeland

You wouldn't think there was much more that could be done with the trusty garlic press, but this new innovation from Stellar is one of those, well of course! moments.  A garlic press with integral scoop to hook out the good bits straight into the pan and leave the remainder behind.  Dishwasher-safe, easy to use, and guaranteed for life, we love it!  RRP £15.65.

Breville blender, Tesco

How do you improve on a classic?  Take the best of the past and add make it even better, and this new Classic collection from iconic brand Judge is pretty much perfect.  Cast in picture perfect low-maintenance mirror-polished stainless steel, its good looks belie the technical and practical details including thick, forged bases suitable for use on all hob types, including induction.  The pans also feature stay cool, ergonomic handles to match their timeless Domus design, with its sensuous curves and elegant styling; and clear, toughened glass lids, allowing you to keep an eye on everything even when your hands are full.  Oven safe, dishwasher safe, and with a 25 year guarantee, the beautiful Classic range includes milk pan, saucepans, non-stick frying pans, saute pans and a 24cm casserole.  A treat.

I'm completely in love with this 28cm saute pan with helper handle, perfect for a wide variety of cooking, £45.

Make even the washing up fun with these tea towels from Dotcomgiftshop

For great ingredients, the chef-made range from renowned Brighton vegetarian restaurant, Terre a Terre is hard to beat,  They offer a wide variety of hampers and individual products, great for cooks and foodies.  We love the Salt Caramel Peanut Truffles, like upmarket Snickers, but the kalamata crush and cipollini onions are great for whipping up a kitchen storm!  Treat someone to some supplies or a hamper this Christmas.

Copper storage canisters, Addis
