What We're Wearing, April 2016

Three little monkeys lying on a bed, one started giggling and so did all the rest!

This gorgeous gaggle of little girls are wearing equally gorgeous t-shirts from new North-East based start-up, Bored Sport.  They make casual sportswear for grown-ups and kids, and have graced the backs and bodies of BMX riders, scooter riders and skateboarders.  We love their range of designs for all the family, especially the brilliant range of bright, colourful children’s tees.  The ethically made products use high quality organic cotton which makes them incredibly soft and wearable.  Sophia had to be prised out of her beloved lion for washing!

Sophia has done very well for clothes this month as she also had this fantastic Spiderman dress from cute brand My Sister Mabel.  Using a variety of different retro and upcycled fabrics, designer Tracy makes a unique range of women's and children's clothes and accessories.  Many pieces are unique or at the very least limited editions, and they look fabulous.  Fabrics include cartoon and literary characters, as well as vintage fabrics, styles and designs.  We love them!

Sophia was delighted with her dress and started doing some spidey moves on the bed!  But I took some photos of it off to so you can see the gorgeous fabric and how it's put together, complete with secret spider pocket!

Lara had some stunning new trainers this month, the Adven Maze from Clarks.  These lightweight trainers are "like walking on sea sponges" according to our little tester.  They have a wedge midsole which holds the foot comfortably, and a heavy duty, durable outer sole.  Amazingly, considering the amount of mud Lara manages to find every time she leaves the house, the white has stayed white too!

The metallic bright pink colour is perfect for our pink princess and goes with all her clothes, and the easy lace and velcro is easy for her to secure at just the right tightness (a difficult thing for an SPD child).  The trainers also have Agion linings which help to banish bacteria and keep feet fresh, I can see that being a big boon for teen boy mums!  (Yes, they do come in other colours!)

Clarks are celebrating the launch of Disney’s new film Zootropolis, so sent us this cute toy character from the film too.  He has gone down very well, of course!

Lucky mummy also has new shoes, courtesy of a newcomer to the British market, Dutch shoemaker Wolkyshop.  Wolky means 'cloud' in Dutch and these shoes are very comfy, like walking on air!  They're very comfortable and easy to wear, look pretty fab with their gold styling, and make a great addition to my early spring wardrobe.  It's nice to have something practical and easy to run around after small people in, but that looks good too.

These are the Elland sneakers in gold metallic, but the Spring-Summer range from Wolkyshop is certainly extensive.  Look out for our competition to win a pair of shoes of your choice coming soon...

And don't forget to enter our competitions!
