The BIG Christmas Giveaway Day 1: Win Dig In! Game

This November we are delighted to bringing you a whole of month of giveaways, something for everyone on your list - and even a few treats for you too!  To make sure you don't miss one of these fantastic prizes - a new one every day (except Sundays)! - just subscribe by e-mail (white box just on the right there >>>) and/or 'like' our Facebook page.  Today's prize is a brilliant game for all the family, the hilarious new Dig In! from Drumond Park.

When we saw this game advertised, Lara and I looked at each other and said, we have to get that!  Luckily, Drumond Park must have been listening and sent us a copy to review and it is hilarious.  Frantic, yes; fun, definitely; and weirdly competitive too.

The object of the Dig In! game is to find the six pieces you need to fill your card in just 15 seconds.  If you don't succeed then there is extra time for everyone to hunt at the same time.  Sounds simple enough, but with a plethora of other game pieces hiding yours in the pot, and other players frantically trying to find their pieces too.  The first one to find their pieces wins that round.  And then you do it all over again!

The game is suitable for children aged 8+ but Lara, nearly 6.5, loves it.  Definitely one to challenge Nanny to at Christmas!  Great for getting the brain working, and developing/improving hand to eye co-ordination, Dig In! is great fun, surprisingly challenging, and oddly addictive.  We love it.

The Dig In! bowl contains a brightly coloured mix of 128 play pieces, a selection fo 32 different everyday items, such as a teddy, train, toilet, dog, plane, rocket, bike, ice cream, key and more, each in four different colours.  There are two ways to play the game, either with the grey side of the card where you find the pieces shown, in any colour; or the colour side where you have to find the pieces in the exact colours illustrated.  Decide which version to play, then start the timer for everyone to have a frenetic 15 seconds searching time, using both hands.  After that, everyone digs in together, this time using only one hand each.  This stage has no time limit, but the first person to find all six items illustrated on their card wins the round, and keeps their card.  The round continue until one player collects three cards and is declared the winner.

Have a look at this video ad of how it works:

This is the game version of mindfulness, although not entirely relaxing. Indeed, there's never been a game like it!  Great for the adults and kids this Christmas, the tactile and deceptively simple nature of the game will keep everyone entertained this Christmas and beyond.

Dig In! retails at £19.99 from all god toy and game retailers, but if you would like to win one, enter via the Rafflecopter below.
