This Month We Love... August 2017

It's been one of those months where the doorbell seems to have rung non-stop with deliveries and delights for all.  Here's some of what we've been loving this month...

We all love nice plates and little people are certainly no exception.  The fun children's range from Dalebrook offers an exciting, vibrant selection of animal-themed plates, bowls, cups and spoons.  Made from melamine, all items are strong, sturdy and break resistant, dishwasher safe and food safe.  BPA-free, they are suitable for everyday use and make meal times fun for everyone.  Tatiana is delighted with the monkey plates and has been suing them for lunch and fruit all month.

Encourage early walkers and toddlers to step out in style with the classic VW Camper Van Walker from Hape.  Perfect for toddling around and encouraging those first tentative steps, this trendy design doesn't even require a driver's license!

Perfect from 10 months up, the 2 in 1 design can be used as both a walker and as a pram or toy carrier to carry their precious dolls, teddies and toys around.  We love the fun design which will look great in a variety of room styles, and the sturdy design complete with rubber non-skid wheels to mean it doesn't move away too fast from bubbas. Available in red and blue, the VW Camper Van Walker is available from Amazon.

You may remember our previous reviews of the lovely products from Bathing Bunnies, perfect gifts for new babies, toddlers and everyone in between.  Their new Unicorn Poncho is just adorable, and perfect for a trip to the beach, the swimming pool, or snuggling after a bath.

The super cuddly fabric is warm and cosy, made from the finest soft and super-absorbent 100% cotton terry towelling which stays plush and snuggly, wash after wash.  Perfect for children aged 1 to 3, the ponchos can be personalised with the recipient's name on the back, making them a perfect special gift.  Dandy Lion is also available.

In the explosive new Transformers: The Last Knight movie, new heroes rise in an epic struggle to forge a future for all.  Autobot Sqweeks is the smallest of his fellow bots, but his spark shines just as brightly as he seeks to help all living beings.  This new remote-controlled Last Knight Autobot Sqweeks features motion and sound effects.

Children can enjoy recreating their favourite scenes with the loveable Autobot Sqweeks.  Prepare him for battle by switching him into blaster mode with a movie-inspired blaster accessory, or activate an energetic boogie-down with music and phrases in dance mode.  This tiny bot is the embodiment of 'more than meets the eye' as he struggles on, despite his own state of disrepair.

The box includes Transformers: The Last Knight Autobot Sqweeks RC figure, blaster accessory, remote control, and instructions.  Suitable for ages 6+ it is available from Toys R Us, Argos and other leading retailers.  Our girls love him!!

For those who have babies at home or are expecting, head to Aldi for their highly anticipated Baby & Toddler Event, whch returns to stores from today.  With an incredible selection of products and new launches, and fantastic low prices, you can stop up for baby at a fraction of the usual cost.

Products such as the Baby Snuggle Nest, changing mats, toys and changing bags will fly off the shelves, while online you can find amazing bargains on pushchairs, jumperoos and more.  There are also plenty of toddler goodies such as Play-Doh, Julia Donaldson activity books and play mats, which are perfect for now or storing away for Christmas.

We also spotted some great bargains on food, including Organix Gingerbread Men which Tatiana loves, wipes and nappies, perfect for stocking up on. Just remember as ever with Aldi SpecialBuys, once it's gone, it's gone, so get your proverbial skates on!

Whilst you're at Aldi, check out their great new gluten-free range.  With sales of gluten-free foods increasing by 44% over the past two years, and 1 in 5 people now eating gluten-free, demand has never been higher for these products.  Yet the price of gluten-free products remains high, often costing three or four times more than regular products.  Aldi have extended their usual gluten-free range as part of this week's Specialbuys, with prices starting from just 99p.

Products include Indian Curry Kits, organic pastas such as Buckwheat Fusilli, Red Lentil Penne, Green Pea Fusilli, Quinoa bars and more.  For those with a sweet tooth, try the hand-baked Specially Selected Gluten Free Brownie.  But as always, once it 's gone, it's gone, so hurry down to Aldi and stock up.  Our favourite gluten-free Oaties always go down well for lunch:
