Loving and Loathing in August

It's been a busy month!  Thankfully I have managed to get back into regular blogging, and life has managed to co-exist nicely alongside.  We've had some ups and downs, but mostly good and happy.  Here are just some of the things we have been loving and loathing this month...

My Mexican Bola pendant

Verbena & Lavender hand cream

Sophia exclaiming with delight as she chooses her new 12-18 months size clothes every morning

New stationery and beautiful notebooks

Giving away lots of lovely prizes on the blog

Natures Purest dolls

My chiropractor

Peter Rabbit and Swashbuckle on CBeebies (Lara)

This Royal Baby book

Birthdays - a 42, a 3 and a half, and a 41!

Lara perfecting her raspberry-blowing technique on Sophia's tummy

Tea parties and picnics

Super-resistant fleas

Being removed from the council housing list - our last hope - and facing up to having to pay someone else's mortgage

Asda Havant and the extremely rude department manager who swore at Lara!  Not to mention the store manager who claimed it was all our fault!!

Agonising sciatica and PGP

Being unable to walk and being housebound (see above!)

Having to stop driving (see above!)

What hits and misses have you had this month?

  1. You made me chuckle this Sunday morning! Thanks!

  2. Goodness gracious, what happened in Asda? How dare they?
Hope your sciatica goes away, it's literally pain in the bum

    1. Lara dared to take three big Lalaloopsy dolls off the shelf to compare them (Christmas list making!), apparently this is completely unacceptable in Asda. Maybe the products on their shelves are for display purposes only, and not for sale?

  3. I've only had sciatica once (although I have had other work done on my lower back)and that was during childbirth - not a pleasant experience - hope the pain goes away soon.
I've had a good month this August! I've won 12 prizes, started a new business, and managed two weeks holiday. So can't think of any negatives - except the rent is due - but we always manage to find it.
    Lovely blog.

    1. Sounds like a good month Frances!

I'm assured that the PGP should go once baby is born and everything goes back to normal - fingers crossed!
