Our Devon Holiday, June 2015

Last week we were in Devon, first visiting Steve's parents in Exmouth for a few days, and then a week in Dawlish Warren.  We had a brilliant time, and had lots of child-sized adventures seeing animals, playing in water, checking out new playgrounds, and generally having fun.

In Exmouth, we made giant MegaBloks monsters to scare granddad with; and let tadpoles nibble our fingers in a pond in town.  We couldn't believe how many there were.  Exmouth is going to be overrun with frogs soon!

We fed the squirrels in the park, who tamely took monkey nuts from us, and posed beautifully for photographs.

We found the world's biggest puddle in a beachside car park, shoes and socks promptly removed!

The great explorers head off into the unknown...

We also visited a number of places on our travels, and had some brilliant days out.  Look out for our posts about the World of Country Life in Exmouth and Babbacombe Model Village in Torquay coming soon.  And we were delighted to review Pennywell Farm, The Miniature Pony Centre Dartmoor, and beautiful Becky Falls Woodland Park, look out for those posts coming soon.

In Dawlish Warren this funny weather meant it was still a bit chilly and windy on the beach, but the girls made the most of the amusement fun.

Lara, as ever, made lovely new friends on day one

And we ate a LOT of ice creams!!!  Yum.  This one in Teignmouth, just after Mummy spotted Colin Firth filming a new movie.
