You've certainly enjoyed the recipes we've published this year, and you'll be glad to know we're planning to continue a weekly recipe next year. Our meal planning masterclass series will also re-launch on 4th January. If you're a blogger and have any recipes you'd like to have featured, do get in touch, we love a guest post! But, without further ado, here are your top ten favourite recipes of 2015 in reverse order (number one may surprise you!).
10. Sourdough 5 Ways
So many of us are in a rut with lunches, so these five 'recipes' went down very well - a whole week's worth of lunch inspiration in one post. There are two sandwiches, one open sandwich, mushrooms on toast, and a recipe for home-made baked beans. Yum! Which will you try first?
9. Cranberry and Orange Muffins
Perfect for using up any leftover cranberry sauces, this yummy muffin recipe is really simple to make and perfect for breakfast, lunchboxes, or with a cup of tea. So, do you wait till they go back to school or make them now? Decisions, decisions!
8. Tricolore Salad
I feel a bit Nigella-doing-avocado-on-toast about sharing salad recipes, but this recipe for tricolore salad was hugely popular this year. I guess it's more lunch inspiration like the sandwiches above.
7. Chickpea Tagine
One of the most popular meals in our house, and a big hit with you too, this simple Moroccan-inspired dish is quick, easy, nutritious and delicious. Win-win-win!
6. Vegetarian Bean Hotpot
We published two hotpot recipes this year, but this vegan version proved the most popular. A great make-ahead or freeze-ahead dish, it's great comfort food too.
5. Victoria Sponge Cake with Passion Fruit Cream
My mum declared this the nicest cake she had ever eaten - high praise indeed! A rich sponge combined with the unusual passion fruit-flavoured cream filling is indeed delightful, perfect for an early spring birthday cake maybe?
4. Roasted Red Peppers with Orecchiette
Wow, our freeze ahead for Christmas feature was HUGE! In such a short space of time it received a lot of hits, and the biggest reaction was for the roasted red peppers recipe, although the pretty perfect veggie lasagne recipe in the same post was a big hit too. If you want to get a head start on good eating for January, these would be fab standbys for your freezer.
3. Spiced Pear and Apricot Frangipane Cake
Deceptively low in calories, this delicious dessert is great for a more austere new year eating plan without compromising on flavour or indulgence.
2. Spaghetti with Shallot, Red Pepper and Red Pesto Sauce
A simple 4 ingredient dish that looks and tastes amazing, perfect mid-week dinner food - fast, tasty and nutritious.
1. Raw Chocolate Tart with Caramel Sauce, Coconut Cream and Strawberries
Proving that there is a big audience out there for vegan, raw food, this stunning chocolate tart recipe is restaurant standard food that is easy to make at home, and it tastes as good as it looks. Enjoy!
