Creating a Camping Home from Home with Millets

I am, I must confess, not a natural camper.  Blame far too many awful childhood holidays under wet canvas, a natural aversion to roughing it, and a belief that nature is far better enjoyed during waking hours.  However, give me a reasonable bed raised off the floor, a guarantee that I won't get cold or that my asthma won't get too bad, and a promise of fun, and I'll be there!

Last year we had the pleasure of staying in wooden camping pod 'wigwams' in Cornwall and it was ideal for me. A proper bed and a solid roof, but still all back to basic and in the middle of nature. We were lacking a few essentials though, so when Millets asked us to be part of their 'Home from Home' campaign, we were delighted. They have such a great range of camping equipment that we were rather spoilt for choice.

In the end we chose these handy fold up chairs (don't worry the gin in a tin isn't Sophia's!), the Eurohike Langdale Deluxe Folding Chair, currently on sale at £20 each (was £36).  The chairs are really comfortable with padded seat and tall back, making them ideal for relaxing in.  They fold and unfold very easily, and once in their carry cases are easily portable.

We also received this fantastic table with storage space, handy pockets and more.  The Eurohike Basecamp Storage Table keeps everything neat, tidy and out of the way, raising all your belongings off the floor, whilst making them easy to see and accessible.

There are two large storage compartments under the table, with zipped closures, and extra side compartments for torches, bottles etc.  The lightweight table neatly folds in two for transportation or storage, including all the storage bags etc.  We LOVE this table, and it is well worth the current £40 price tag (reduced from £60).

When opened the table measures 120cm x 60cm giving plenty of room for food preparation, serving, storage etc.  The height is adjustable with telescopic legs extending from 55-70cm.

And so to bed, with lovely cosy Eurohike Adventurer 200 Sleeping Bags.  Perfect for summer sleeping (8-28C), these mummy-style bags are comfy, cosy and hardwearing. It was so warm in the wigwam, we ended up using them just as quilts, but of course camping outdoors would be chillier so find the perfect sleeping bag for you in the Millets sleep range.  We would definitely recommend these though as they squish down to almost nothing, perfect for wild camping or hiking.

We also received this fantastic camping care package from Millets, which showcases how well they cover all eventualities for al fresco living, from snacks and drinks, to tent repairs, toiletries, lighting and more!

What more could you need for a fun-filled camping adventure?  Thanks Millets!
