Looking to shake up family mealtime this year?

Whether you’re dipping your toes into Veganuary or just want to add more plant-based meals to your household menu, there’s never been a better time to explore vegan and vegetarian foods the whole family can enjoy.

From kid-approved snacks that sneak in extra veggies to hearty, protein-packed dishes that even picky eaters will love, plant-based eating is becoming easier - and tastier - than ever.

In this post, we’re sharing a few of the latest family-friendly vegan foods that are perfect for Veganuary and beyond, so you can make mealtime fun, nutritious, and full of flavour for everyone at the table.

Delicious New Vegan & Vegetarian Foods for Veganuary and Beyond

This Veganuary, Squeaky Bean is inviting shoppers to 'dare to compare' its plant-based range with meat, and after trying the latest additions, we can see why.

Steve has only become vegetarian quite recently so he likes more of the fake meat things than I do, and the girls quite like the texture of 'fake meat' burgers etc.

What stood out most was the bold flavour and convincing texture across the range, making these products feel like an easy swap rather than a compromise.

They’re well suited to vegans, flexitarians, and families looking to reduce meat without sacrificing taste.

One of our favourites was the new Salmon Style Flakes, which do a great job of recreating the taste and texture of smoked salmon.

The sweet chilli marinade adds a fresh, zesty kick that makes them feel a little more indulgent, and we loved how versatile they were, perfect for sandwiches, wraps, or sharing platters.

Made with wheat protein, they’re also a useful source of protein.

The new pies are a real comfort-food win.

The Spanish Chorizo Style Pie offered a gentle smoky spice, balanced with butter beans and vegetables, and topped with golden puff pastry.

It felt filling, satisfying, and ideal for an easy family dinner. Tatiana loved it.

Squeaky Bean’s core range also impressed us as everyday staples.

The Tuna Style Flakes had a meaty texture and clean flavour that made them an easy plant-based swap for sandwiches and jacket potatoes.

They’re vegan, high in protein, low in saturated fat, and a source of Omega-3, and will be launching into Waitrose stores this January.

Steve also enjoyed the Pastrami Style ‘Beef’ Slices, which had the classic ruby-red colour and herby flavour you’d expect in a traditional sandwich.

Rounding out the range are the Plant-Based Chargrilled Chicken Style Mini Fillets, made from wheat and pea protein and available plain or with Cajun seasoning.

Quick to prepare and versatile, they work well in salads, wraps, or lunchboxes and are now available in both Waitrose and Morrisons.
