Fun (and Free) Websites to Keep Your Kids Learning this Summer

I don’t know about you, but I LOVE when I come across a cool learning resource that’s actually
free.

I've talked before about how to keep the learning going all through the summer, and I figured you'd be interested in some more resources to keep kids learning over the summer break - any thing to prevent the dreaded summer slide, right?!

So I've put together a list of free educational websites your family can use, and not just any educational websites - ones that have an emphasis on FUN.

Here are some awesome educational websites for summer learning:

This website was actually created with the intention of preventing summer learning loss!

It’s filled with a huge library of ideas for how to not only get kids to read, but to get them to LOVE
reading.

The resources are built around things kids love, such as superheroes, sports, animals and music.

They also dive into topics like science, maths, art, geography and more!

If you’re looking for a way to help your kids practice their math skills in a fun way, this website is a great choice!

It houses over 70 online games and activities for kids all the way from pre-K to 12th grade.

This popular website has a section completely dedicated to fun summer resources.

Around 200 of them, in fact!

The activities cover topics such as math, science, social studies, language arts, fine arts and even social emotional health.

Anyone who is familiar with PBS knows that they're all about making education fun and accessible to young kids.

On their website, you can find free games, activities, printables, and songs for kids aged 2 to 8.

When it comes to teaching your kids about science and nature, you can’t go wrong with National Geographic.

Their website is a fantastic resource of not only information, but videos, games and more that kids can use to explore the world right from the comfort of home.

Here’s another collection of websites designed to make math more accessible (and enjoyable).

CoolMath4Kids is perfect for kids up to about 6th grade while CoolMathGames is the place to
go for even more strategy, skill, number, logic, and trivia games.

As the name suggests, this website is a combination of an arcade and academics.

Kids can hop on to play arcade-style games that help them practice their basic math, language arts,
vocabulary, and thinking skills.

These are just some of the free websites that are out there.

If you come across any others that your family loves, feel free to drop me a line and let me know!
