The best part about this fun pot of gold craft is that it's really quite simple to do.

Not only that but the kids can easily do this on their own and then proudly show it to everyone else.

I love having these crafts hanging up around the house because they're so much fun to see, and so festive for an occasion like St Patrick's Day.

No matter what kind of day I'm having, this rainbow craft always makes me smile!

Fun Ways to Use This Craft

We also love to use the crafts that we make, if possible.

Since this is a super fun pot of rainbow craft, you can easily put your own prize at the end of the rainbow, too!

Have a pile of chocolates or a fun toy waiting at the base of the rainbow when the kids wake up in the morning or at a strategic point during the day.

It will make them appreciate their craft and hard work that much more and is such a cute and fun surprise for the kids!

How to Make St Patrick's Day Pot of Gold Paper Craft

Here are all the materials you'll need:

1. Print out the template.

2. Select coloured craft papers suitable for the rainbow, clouds, pot and coins. Also select a paper for the background or craft canvas.

3. Trace the cloud shapes on white paper, the rainbow patterns on the papers selected for the rainbow, the pot pattern on black or a darker coloured paper and trace the coins onto golden paper.

4. Prepare the background or canvas paper.

5. Apply glue to the back of the pot. Apply glue on both sides and bottom but keep 2 cm of the top side free from glue.

6. Stick the pot onto the background paper, making sure to attach it at the side, either left or right.

7. Cut out 2 small pieces from the craft foam sheet then attach to the back of each cloud shape.

8. Stick the smaller cloud onto the larger cloud cutout and set aside.

9. Grab the rainbow cutouts and add then to the background paper one by one. One end of the rainbow layer cutouts should be placed right above the top of the pot.

10. Attach all the layers of the rainbow one by one to complete the rainbow pattern.

11. Attach the 3D cloud pattern onto the other open end of the rainbow pattern.

12. Place the golden coin cutouts inside the pot through its open top end.

13. Trace and cut out shamrock patterns from green colored craft paper. Stick the shamrock paper cutouts on the rainbow, near the cloud or wherever you like.
