How to Make Brownie Fruit Kebabs for a Delicious Kids Snack or Dessert

These Brownie and Fruit Kebabs are an easy treat that feel a little bit special while being so simple to make!

They are perfect for summer parties or a fun snack or dessert any time and are 100% kid-approved!

Healthy snacks are a priority in our house, otherwise nobody eats properly and it all gets a little crazy!

My kids know that fresh fruit should be one of the first things they reach for between meals, and I try to do the same. (Got to set that good example!)

But, life is all about balance and indulging in that sweet tooth every now and again definitely happens.

Balance is exactly what these Brownie Fruit Kebabs are about!

On each skewer, you’re getting bite-sized pieces of your favourite brownie (homemade or store-bought!) and your favourite fruit!

Since they’re on skewers, these are great for summer parties as guests can grab one stick and go.

There’s no mess involved, no need for extra plates or cutlery, or for someone to stand and serve.

I just lay them all out on a platter and let guests grab one as they please.

Kids love these and assembling them is a fun family activity too!

Easy Brownie Kebab Variations
  • Blueberries, strawberries and marshmallows for a red, white and blue 4th of July theme
  • Strawberries and pink marshmallows for a Valentine’s Day theme
  • Drizzle with chocolate sauce for an extra bit of sweetness

Can I prepare these brownie fruit kebabs in advance?

This depends on the fruit you are using and how quickly it is going to turn brown.

When making these with the fruit described below, I don’t recommend making them more than a couple of hours in advance.

Berries and pineapple tend to stay fresh better than bananas, so if you opt for those fruits over bananas, you can make these up a few hours in advance.

Just keep in the fridge until it’s time to serve.

These are a great snack for play dates or when older kids have friends over.

Just serve all the components on a platter and let them get stuck in!
