How to Make Butterfly Puppet on a Stick Craft

Here's how to make the cute butterfly craft.

You will need our free printable PDF template to cut out the pieces.

1. Select different coloured craft papers for the butterfly paper craft.

2. Print the free PDF template. Trace the template patterns on to the selected coloured craft papers and cut them out carefully.

You can also use colorful glittery papers for the small patterns or as accents on your butterfly.



3. Grab the wing pattern pieces and attach the smaller wing patterns inside the main wings, as you can see below.



4. Attach the 2 antennae on the top side of the body pattern.

Attach the thorax body pattern along the centre of the wing pattern. 



5. Attach the smallest wing pattern cutouts inside the previous patterns.

I’m using glittery papers for the smallest patterns. 



6. Draw in face details and lines across the butterfly's abdomen for detail.

Then attach the paper butterfly craft on to a popsicle stick to complete the craft.



Use different coloured craft papers for variation to make a whole kaleidoscope of butterflies!
